Miss World Fiji Director Andhy Blake is adamant to select the best contestants with a view to win Fiji the coveted Miss World crown.
“We’re urging girls between 17-24 years to enter the Miss World Fiji competition because we’re searching for the one that will lead us to the Miss World crown,” Blake said.
Casting will be held on April 25 and 26 at Tappoo City where the final ten girls will be selected to compete for the Miss World Fiji title and the all-expense paid trip to London for the Miss World event in November this year.
Blake coached Ms. Canterbury to Ms. World New Zealand and later the Ms. World Finals in 2008. He was international judge at Ms.South Pacific in 2010 and has dabbled in the fashion world, boasting brief stints with America’s top model and the New Zealand Fashion week.
He moved to New Zealand in 2000 and in 2002 and 2003 he was a finalist in the Wearable Art Fashion Awards. His break-through year was 2011, when Mr. Blake served on the judging panel for the Cult Couture Fashion Awards.
The same year he acquired the Ms. World Fiji license on New Year’s eve before moving to Fiji in 2012 to kick start Ms. World Fiji.
